Atty. Edward Martin Regalado

Mr. Regalado is an expert in civil and commercial law, both in litigation and arbitration, with more than 15 years of experience. His practice includes cases of patrimonial responsibility of the State for irregular activity, constitutional law issues (e.g. freedom of expression and right of reply), public and private international law, financial law, real estate, insurance and bonds, energy law, leases , trusts, consulting and contracts in general, as well as conflict of rights and jurisdictions.

He is recognized for successfully and creatively directing parallel lawsuits in the fraudulent bankruptcy of the financial companies “Ficrea” and “Alta”, calling for the lifting of the corporate veil to make the shareholders of said companies responsible, on the one hand, and the responsibility patrimonial of the National Banking and Securities Commission for its irregular supervision, on the other hand. Mr. Regalado has also successfully led the recovery of the property, possession and legal control of a luxurious resort in Mexico, in respect of which more than one hundred apocryphal contracts were entered into, obtaining favorable sentences in the 91 litigations that derived from that case. .
